The Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Senior Payroll Officer to join our Finance team and take ownership of payroll across our Anyday venues and head office. Working closely with our Payroll Manager, People & Culture team and Venue Leaders, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our people are paid accurately, compliantly and on time every week. You’ll bring strong award interpretation expertise, confidence navigating complex timesheets and pay conditions, and a warm, solutions-focused approach during a period of significant growth.

This role is initially offered as a part-time position (3 days per week), with a clear pathway to full-time as the group continues to expand. We also welcome candidates seeking full-time hours from the outset.

The key responsibilities include: 

• Owning and delivering end-to-end high-volume, multi-site weekly payroll
• Managing payroll processing within Humanforce, including Time & Attendance data
• Interpreting and applying relevant awards, including penalties, overtime, allowances and TOIL
• Reviewing complex timesheets and calculating Annualised Salary Reconciliations (ASRs)
• Providing clear, practical payroll guidance to operational leaders
• Overseeing timesheet approvals and resolving discrepancies with care and efficiency
• Supporting financial reporting, audits and legislative compliance (PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and WorkCover)
